"I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth." ~Psalm 57:9-11

wow, Wow, WOW!!!!!

We thank everyone for your prayers for the Women's Conference on Saturday. The ladies at the Comforter's Center did such a phenomenal job at putting it all together. Sue and I both shared our testimonies that morning and then we received about 20 similar stories in return!!!!! What a blessing! The ladies here are strong, VERY STRONG in the Lord, but truly lack the wonderful bible studies that we American Christians are so spoiled with. If they had the studies available to them, I think they would devour it in one setting.

Should I tell you one of the 20 stories about two of our ladies that were nearly aborted by their mothers, but praise God the abortions failed and they were born anyway? Or even how one of these dear ladies lost her sister after her third abortion took her life and she was like a mom that took care of her?

Should we tell you of the precious lady who had 6 abortions, whose husband turned her out after beating her, keeping the children she did have behind, having her falsely accused so she was imprisoned and when she was released, her husband kept her from seeing the children for 4 years?

If I were to sit in the living room and share with you all of the tragedies, but how like me, God has overcome I would be in your home until next week and you would have used EVERY tissue box in your house!

You could really sense the Spirit of the Lord as we worshiped after sharing testimonies and then the worship turned to a celebratory Praise!!!! Many times, during our sharing of how faithful God is and during the praise time, one or two of the ladies would let loose with the African tribal shrill! It was sooooooooooo AWESOME!

Many of the ladies are signing up to take the Healing Hearts bible studies through the Comforter's Center, and several expressed interest in leadership in the ministry.
Yesu Yebazibwe! (Praise Jesus) The Ugandans have told me I would learn Luganda (the heart language) in 3 months. Oh, Troy???? Just kidding dear...

We have great video and pictures that I will upload. One young lady touched my heart, she's a teenager of course. Her name is Beneth. At one point during the ministry time, I saw her crying and felt impressed to go over and pray for her. She later asked to talk with me and she told me her mother had passed (she's the oldest sister in the family, so guess who's responsible to take care of everyone now?) She then asked me if I would be her Mama. I told her I would be her spiritual Mama and pray for her, but that Mama had to return to the U.S., but Papa (her Abba Father would always be with her). I learned today that she has not yet accepted Christ, so I'm going to meet with her again soon.

The ladies all touched our hearts and Sue and I are so full of blessings, we can't wait to share when we get home.

We have been given African names...Sue is Sobi (pronounced Sue-bee) and means Hope.
Camille's name is Nakimuli and means beautiful flower.

Sunday was truly a celebration day at church after such a feast of the goodness of Jesus on Saturday! We visited Kampala Baptist Church and were overjoyed. The preaching and worship were so very good and rock solid!

God's been keeping us very busy, but we are not yet worn out!

Much love from the Pearl of Africa!
